As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the friendly and patient receptionist. The rooms in the old Alpen hotel buildings were perfectly soundproof. The traditional Austrian cuisine was delicious and the pool was nice. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The village was beautiful and there were plenty of slopes and resorts to explore.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch. The hotel facilities, including the heated pool and spa area, were excellent, and I especially appreciated the provided robes and sliders. The location in the Austrian mountains was stunning, with a short walk to the town center and convenient transportation options using the Gastein Card. The breakfast was delicious, with a traditional Austrian cuisine.

The spa and wellness center was a highlight of our stay, with a relaxing indoor swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. The sun terrace provided a stunning view of the garden area, where we could unwind and soak up the sun. the hotel provided enhanced comfort and quality services that made our stay truly enjoyable.

Situated in the picturesque Austrian mountains, Hotel Alpina offers a prime location for backpackers. Good location, not far from ski-bus, really great buffet breakfast - all the best to the chef!, huge salad bar at dinner, very good.

Old bathroom with curtain showers. Electric power plug on the wall of the shower! A little overpriced for the room size. Not a 4 star hotel.

Kindness and flexibility of your staff, immediate response to questions or requests is really outstanding. Convienience of all facilities for skiers: storage (both skies and boots), proximity of the bus stop (3 min walk) and the skiing areas. It was lovely to relax in the afternoon in your spa, I used the swimming pool and your sauna every day. Buffet breakfast is both delicious and plentiful. I hope, I can come back next season.

The only request I had was to borrow a bottle opener. Some bottles of mineral water and fabulous local beer (excellent selection at a nearby supermarket, 7 min walk) have metal caps. I got one from your bar and kept it during my stay.

Pool was colder than advertised, smoking was allowed in the lobby and sitting room. Outdated rooms and uncomfortable mattress.

Location of Aplina-Apartments (NB: not Alpina hotel which is at 100 m away) is good, pretty close to the cable for skiing however not that close to go by walking. Quite generous space, good for families with children.

The staff were incredibly respectful and friendly, always available to answer any questions or fulfill any requests. The traditional Austrian cuisine served at the hotel was delicious, and we enjoyed relaxing in the pool. The room was spacious and the entire staff was helpful and accommodating. The village itself was charming, and we appreciated the variety of slopes and different resorts in the area.

During our stay at Alpina - Thermenhotels Gastein, we were impressed by the excellent facilities and convenient location. The hotel offered two spacious lounge areas and a beautiful swimming pool and sauna area. The breakfast spread was extensive, with plenty of options to choose from. We also enjoyed the tea and cake treats in the afternoon. Our room, though small, had a good-sized balcony and ample storage space. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the manager made sure everything was to our liking. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the access to the valley through the exclusive Tauern tunnel, the thrilling winter activities, the state-of-the-art fitness facilities, the Celtic sauna, the stunning terrace, and the added amenities. A glass of Gastein water with a view of the mountains is the perfect start to the day.

located just a few steps away from the ski slopes. The food was amazing with an extensive breakfast buffet and a great choice for dinner. The staff was welcoming and made us feel at home. We enjoyed spending time at the spa after a day of skiing.

The room was quite hot at night, and the air conditioning was not very effective. The pool was too deep for children and there was no shallow area.
